Have We All Been Cleopatra?
If you’ve spent any time exploring past lives, you’ve probably noticed that many, many people report having been somebody famous. And the same famous names seem to come up, over and over again. Joan of Arc. Napoleon. Cleopatra.
So, I’m sitting down with the Angels to ask: “Have we all been Cleopatra?”
Sort of…
First, the Angels want to say: We are all One Being. We are all facets of the One (gigantic) Jewel that is the Divine.
So, on one level, yes: We have all been Cleopatra. And Attila the Hun. And every other being that has ever lived on this and all the other planets.
Because: We are all the Divine, and the Divine has been every single being.
On top of that: We all have access to the experiences—the insights, aha’s, “lessons,” new awarenesses, etc.—of every single being, during this and all previous lifetimes. All of that “information” is in the field, and our brains are antennas that connect us, 100% of the time, with that field.
So … we can all “tune in” to Cleopatra.
But What About Me?
Speaking for myself here 😆: That’s all super cool, but it’s not totally satisfying, maybe because it feels so “general.”
It doesn’t satisfy my curiosity about whether my soul (or your soul)—in other words, whether my (or your) unique Individuated Aspect of the Divine—has actually been Cleopatra.
So, here’s what the Angels have to say about that:
Not every soul has experienced life as every body.
Are All Those People Mistaken?
That makes sense to my mind and feels true in my body. But…
If not every soul has enjoyed the experience of embodying as Cleopatra, then why do so many people see themselves as Cleopatra in a past life regression … or simply have the “knowing” that they were her in a past life?
The Angels say: Sometimes, what we see in a past life is symbolic. In this way, it’s a lot like our Divine guidance.
The Angels are laughing at my comparison there, because it’s not actually a comparison. They say it’s literal truth: What we see in a past life quite literally IS our Divine guidance.
Wow. That’s new(s).
And … our Divine guidance is often symbolic. For instance, if you’re sitting with a salesperson and the Angels pop an image into your mind of someone who ripped you off in the past, that is your Divine guidance saying no, thank you to the salesperson in front of you.
The Angels used an image of that rip-off person from your past as a symbol. They deliver guidance in this way because it’s efficient. They can convey a lot of information with a single image.
And the same holds true for past life regressions. Most of us know what Cleopatra looks like (whether from hieroglyphics or from Hollywood), so she’s a very handy symbol for delivering lots of information efficiently.
Does That Mean Past Life Regressions Aren’t Real?
The Angels want to add: This does NOT, in any way, mean that past life regressions are wrong or fake or hallucinations.
If you saw yourself as Cleopatra during a past life regression, you did NOT make it up. You were NOT self-aggrandizing … or wishful-thinking.
Quite the opposite: The Angels were showing you what was most beneficial for you to see in that moment. And they did it symbolically, by using a famous person you’d recognize, so you would get the message.
The Angels also want to emphasize that MOST of the time, when you experience a past life regression, it’s NOT a symbolic experience. Rather, you really are looking through the eyes of a body that your soul experienced. You are seeing a literal (not symbolic) past life.
Either way (symbolic or literal), the Angels say that they show a particular past life to you because it’s part of your Divine guidance. It is bringing you many valuable messages that are pertinent for your current life, in that moment.
And … if you’d like to spend a moment tapping into your “inner Cleopatra,” the Angels are encouraging that, too!
