More Adventures in Divine Perfect Timing 🤣

I’m sure you’ve heard the old joke: God, give me patience, and give it to me NOW!

Some days, I can really relate … though I’ve learned NOT to ask for things like “patience” because when we do, we’re actually asking the Angels to bring us lots of (super frustrating) opportunities to “practice patience.” Thanks, but I’ll pass on mastering that one! 😆

And yet … you’ve probably heard me say that my book is “almost done.”

I’m pretty sure I’ve been saying “it’s almost done” for nearly two years now! 😳

Part of me thinks that’s both “wrong” AND “bad.” I mean, c’mon! I have written LOTS of books over the years. I was even a book editor at one point in my career. Plus, I’ve written thousands of magazine articles. And I’ve put together entire magazines from scratch, solo, in as little as two months.

That’s why, when I started writing this book, I figured I’d have it done in about 3 months. 😆

But … the Angels and the Divine clearly had this book on a different “schedule.” (Sigh.)

The Angels say part of that is about the “world being receptive” to my book. And another big part of that is about me being ready. (Even bigger sigh.)

A Journey of Evolving and Becoming

The thing is, I truly thought I WAS “ready” when I started writing this book. After all, this book is essentially me (or, at least, the part of me who’s been doing Angel Coaching for the last two decades) distilled down into book form. The Angels even guided me to call it My Angel Coach, which has been the name of my coaching business.

For the life of me, I couldn’t figure out what the “hold up” was. Why was it taking “forever” to birth this book out into the world?

Well … one of the chapters in the book is called “Evolving and Becoming.” It talks about how we’re always “on a journey of evolving into readiness and blossoming into more.”

As it turns out, the “evolving into readiness” part of this book journey, for me, has been about embodying more and more of what’s in the book.

NOT in a “gotta be perfect” way. The Angels are quick to reassure me (and you!) that we never, ever have to do everything “perfectly” 100% of the time.

Rather, and with great gentleness, the Angels are reminding us that we’re always a work-in-progress … because, again, we’re on a never-ending journey of evolving and becoming.

In this case, the evolving into readiness has been about “non-book” stuff. It’s been about the way I show up in the world … and the way I treat myself … and being ready for others’ reactions to the book.

After all, this book feels like my baby. And not everybody is going to think my baby is beautiful and brilliant. So, I do have to be “ready” if I get triggered by other people: I have to be “ready” to Love myself, no matter what. I have to remember to use the tools in the book to soothe and comfort and be gentle with myself.

Marketing from (Self) Love

And … there’s another piece of birthing this book-baby out into the world that’s less about the book herself and more about “marketing her.”

I’ve had to create a compelling description of the book, create an author bio, redo my website, etc., etc., etc.

“Normal” stuff. But … because I’ve owned several marketing companies over the years, it’s really easy for me to fall into the “old ways” of doing marketing — the ways marketing “should” be done.

And … you may have noticed that those old ways of doing marketing feel AWFUL. They’re not resonant with who I am as a being. And they’re most certainly not resonant with the book.

So, I’ve had to apply other tools that are in the book:

• I’ve had to Feel My Way Forward, staying attuned to what feels yummy and what feels yucky.

• And I’ve had to notice Frustration and Worry and Fear, greeting these emotions with Love and allowing them to reveal their messages for me.

More Connection

I’ve also had to let go of doing it all by myself. There’s another chapter in the book called “More Connection,” and it starts with:

“This next leg of your journey is not meant to be a solo adventure. You are not meant to go it alone.

“Rather, it’s time to experience more connection. More collaboration. More camaraderie. More delicious interactions with others.

“And (we have to warn you!) … sometimes this does mean asking for help. The Angels and I want to assure you: It’s more than just OK to ask for help … it’s Divinely perfect.”

And so … yes … I’ve had to embody this, too. Considering that I have been a solo-preneur for most of my life, this has been trickier than I expected.  

But I have reached a point where I simply cannot MAKE myself do all the things, especially when it comes to technology and marketing. I simply HAVE to do them with someone else. Then, what had been utterly miserable when I was trying to do it myself magically becomes fast and fun when two (or more) of us are doing it together!

(I’m telling you, this “More Connection” stuff really works! 😆)

Finally … “Trust the Timing”

And … I’ve had to let go of any belief that I could or should be able to “make things happen” on a particular schedule … or that I could or should be able to “make things happen” at all.

I’ve had to recognize that this book will come out in Divine perfect timing … and not a moment before … no matter how hard I push or struggle or “try.”

Along the way, I even had to let go of any “need” to publish the book. At one point, I had to completely surrender the book. Step away from it. Let go of my attachment to it. And be OK with never releasing it into the world. (NOT EASY!)

And then, after ALL that (and SO much more! 🤣) … finally … at long last …

I once again received Divine guidance to move forward with the book.

I assembled my marketing A-Team (the Angel team, including some awesome Earth Angels!).

I approved the proofs for the paperback version of My Angel Coach. And now I’m just waiting to see the updated proof of the eBook.

So … within the next two weeks or so … the book will finally be ready and available … just in time for the holidays!

I cannot even begin to tell you how happy I am to share this with you.

So, please stay tuned. I guarantee that we’ll let you know just as soon as the book becomes available … which will be sometime in early November.  Woohoo!
